Album Review- Jordin breaks out sophomore

A fun and interesting blend of R&B and pop, Battlefield is an album that is both expected and widely liked from Idol winner Jordin Sparks. Her vocals are as powerful as ever, and the music is as likable as all the radio hits currently out. Her sophomore album shows an older, musically mature Sparks and it gives an insight into why she was the 2007 winner of American Idol.

No Parade, a piano based ballad is a perfect rendition of heartache. Sparks' vocals are amazing and the lyrics are some of the best on the album. The best song on the entire record however is Battlefield (Written by hit-maker and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Teddar) it is no surprise that it was the first single and gave Sparks another hit under her belt.

Battlefield is a successful release for Sparks and it is an indication as to the high standards she has set for herself musically. I'manticipating her next single and for whatever she releases in the coming year. I'm excited to see Jordin Sparks' 2010
